DRAS is an architectural practice based in Madrid. Our work develops across different scales, contexts and typologies, combining design and research through processes of preservation, adaptation and transformation.
We understand practice as a dialogic process, working with what is already there rather than starting from a blank condition. Through what we call “B-SIDE”, we explore the latent possibilities of ordinary and found conditions, producing alternative readings through selective intervention, reuse and transformation.
Their work has been selected for the XVI Hispalyt Brick Architecture Award and for the exhibition `becoming´, the Spanish Pavilion at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018, and has also been finalist at FAMA-LAB, Madrid Architecture Exhibition. Their research has been published in scientific and academic platforms including the Workshop on Educational Innovation in Architecture — JIDA.

Founded in 2026 by David Robles and Arantxa Senosiain, DRAS operates as a dynamic framework rather than a fixed structure. We work with a stable core complemented by a network of specialists and collaborators, configuring specific teams according to the scale, context and demands of each project.
Within this framework, the studio explores “B-SIDE” as an experimental way of reframing existing conditions, revealing latent opportunities in the ordinary and the found.

///// DAVID ROBLES
holds a Master in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) and a Master in Advanced Architectural Projects (MPAA). He has collaborated with national and international architecture studios and previously served as Mentor of Architectural Projects at ETSAM. His work combines professional practice and research, focusing on processes of interpretation, rewriting and transformation within contemporary architectural practice.
///// ARANTXA SENOSIAIN
holds a Master in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) and an MBA Master’s degree in Architecture and Interior Design Management. Her work focuses on project management and coordination, connecting design development, teams and technical requirements across different scales and typologies.
